Before joining ELIS, Denise served in a secondary school for a joyful decade as both teacher and Subject Head/Literature.

Denise strongly believes in the power of collective teacher efficacy, recognising that collaboration can create a transformative environment where both teaching and learning flourish. She also values strategic, inquiry-informed approaches and data from recent research to help teachers and students do – and feel – their best.

In her free time, Denise enjoys lifting weights, watercolour painting, and venturing into nature overseas.
